Interpersonal Communication

“ The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place.” – George Bernard Shaw

“ To effectively communicate, we must realize that we are all different in the way we perceive the world and use this understanding as a guide to our communication with others.” – Anthony Robbins

Meanings are in people, not in words.”

Communication is a complex, but yet so subtle process, but we tend to take it for granted. We all presume that we know what we are doing when we communicate, without realizing the forces that are at play. There are so many factors that come into play, and an understanding of these factors goes a long way in helping us improve our communication skills. Here is a presentation that I made a couple of years back on Interpersonal Communication, that highlights some of these factors.

I do hope you will find it useful. Comments and suggestions are , of course, more than welcome.
